I am a native Idahoan and I have always been concerned with the rivers, lakes, and watersheds that help make our state so beautiful. I was born and raised in North Idaho so I was able to view the waterways from the vantage point of a flyfisherman for many years before moving to Boise. This area is so diverse from what I grew up with and I admit it took me a good number of years to recognze the beauty of the area in which I now live. Water is so important to our existence and it seems even more so here due to the needs of our agricultural community.
I teach 6th grade at Shadow Hills Elementary and one of our units covers these topics we are exploring this week. It will be fun to take back what I have learned to share with my students.
