Drink of Water Anyone?

As I read about the many ways that MILES is educating the community about the environment and our interactions with it, I think about our everyday conveniences. The amount of water we use throughout the day would be considered wasteful in other areas, but for us it's another day in the neighborhood. I feel that the biggest impact the MILES has on myself and my family is our water quality and ease of acquiring it. I see how we take it for granted, from the making of so many things like the clothes we wear, the materials our house is made with, what we drink and eat, what clean with and what we garden with. Without high quality water sources, life wouldn't be so easy as just turning on the faucet. I hope to learn more about how to teach children about this valuable resource and how we can manage it wisely.
