As our population increases, what are some ideas to maintain our natural resources?

Seems like we are starting this process.  We know our area is going to expand (projected population hy 2-3%/yr) and our climate forecasters have a pretty good idea of what will happen through the next 20-30years..  What needs to happen is that our populace has to understand the ability of looking beyond the present and take what scientists are finding into consideration.  What becomes difficult is applying this information in our own lives or getting involvednin how to help.

As the population of idaho changes (influx from other states) what we will see is a mixing of ideals and blending of attitudes. While this happens we need to see groups that would typically put their interests first to manipulate data (unfortunately on all sides) to drive policy take greater nterest in our community and be aware of current and modeled realities that we face.  As I said, I think opportunities like AL seem like a start but ultimately our communities need to share the awareness that is available.

What resources in our watershed are most likely to influence your day today decisions?
