some ideas to maintain our natural resources

I think educating students on how to conserve water and other resources is a great start. Also implementing water conservation and resource conservation in our classrooms and schools. One thing I do to try to conserve is that I don’t throw away bad copies or extra copies of assignments.  I save them and we use the back side for other assignments or quizzes.

Maybe we need a shift in thinking as a whole population. Instead the common paradigm of bigger and more stuff is always better, live on what is actually needed. I think that is the only way that the valley can support, in terms of water, a growing/changing population.

I agree that the valley, and really the nation, needs to learn how important and precious water is.  It's crazy how much water is used in the industries.  I took a tour of Micron this summer with ISTEM, and they have their own aquifer on campus.  I not sure what that exactly looks like or means, but it's crazy how much water a place like that requires to get their product on the market.  I agree that paper conservation is important, and with technology the way it is, paperless is becoming a thing of the present.  Just as our minds switch towards ways of conservation on natural resources we can see and touch, it also needs to switch in the ways of conserving water.

I agree that we need to learn more about living with what we need and not just what is available. We all need to think of our resources in a different way.
