MILES Biggest Impact for me.

Lora Hughes • Jun 06, 2017

What I really appreciate is the outreach that is taking place to educate community members about the history of the Portneuf as well as to what potential opportunities are available.  I was unaware until I took the MILES class that our local river in its current state does have the opportunity for fishing, floating, wildlife observations and just being out in nature enjoying the asthetics of our river.  I am hopeful that I will see the river being used more as a place of recreation and potentially providing food for people who like to fish and hunt along the water.

MILES biggest impact

I really appreciate the work the MILES project is doing to help restore our Portneuf to the quality it once was. I would love to see added recreational oppurtunities for the residents of Pocatello along with this restoration. I would love to see a day when my grandchildren can fly fish in town for cutthroat trout. I would also love to a day when the Portneuf has numerous people enjoying it like so many others do with rivers in their towns and cities. When have something amazing that we are missing out on.
