This program is a simplified version of professional video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. You can "try it free" and download a trial version on your computer. The trial version has all the same features of the paid version, but the video output has a watermark.

We visited Edson Fichter park in Pocatello where social scientists led our activities.

We observed the park and found things we like, dislike, need improvement, need maintained, etc.  We also discussed boundaries and the issues involved with natural versus am made features. 

We made signs for the Edson Fichter park based on which viewpoint people take on socio-ecological issues.  Three viewpoints are duty-based, science-based, and engaged.  The signs dealt with improving or maintaining aspects of the park.

Miles Projects on the Portneuf River

The Portneuf River runs through the city of Pocatello.  To prevent flooding and provide flood control, the city built a concrete channel that runs through city, but scientists have found that sediments float in the water and fish do not live in this channel because of its contaminates.  If the channel was redesigned and the conservative management was monitored more closely, it could actually be a place where fish could be found.  This Miles project called, Citizen Scientitsts, which also involves the study of this channel, is having a great impact on the citizens of Pocatello and the... more
